Meet Amy Hugle
A holistic approach to mental health is central to finding peace. I work with the body and the mind to unravel and uncover your inner-most self. I am here to support and guide you through your personal wellness and healing journey. As a bodyworker and psychotherapist, my personal experience and professional path have brought me here to the place where I am honored to go on this journey with you.
When working as a massage therapist, I learned that, for many people, traumatic memories and emotional stress manifest as somatic (body) pain, stiffness, or disease. Since then I have continued my education and pursued additional knowledge about the mind-body connection, the effects of life experiences and trauma on all systems within the person, and interventions to help alleviate both emotional and physical distress. I have worked with children and families involved with the child welfare system who have experienced developmental, generational, and system-induced trauma. I love to see people reduce psychic and somatic distress and learn to function and build relationships where they could not before.
I use a whole-person approach to work with children, adolescents, and adults. I am currently offering in-person and Telehealth therapy sessions.
I am certified in EMDR and in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) based on Dr. Bruce Perry’s work. I apply a variety of therapeutic models and work with the individual to find the best combination of practices that work for them.
